Are you someone who enjoys working with your hands? Do you like fixing things, problem solving or working out how things go?
PIPS is looking for some Volunteer Equipment Coordinators, who can check, clean and sort donated equipment, so we can get it back out to families in need. Tasks may include, logging in-coming equipment, building and safety checking cots or bassinets, cleaning and safety checking prams (including fixing the odd broken wheel!), stripping car seats to wash and clean, dropping items to different locations for further work, plus cleaning/checking other smaller equipment (e.g. bouncers, baby baths, Pepi-Pods) as they comes in!
The PIPS team will provide training in health and safety checking and disassembly/assembly of the equipment. We are looking for someone who is keen to learn and get stuck in!
We have a small, dedicated team of volunteers at PIPS, that help to keep our drop-in centre running smoothly and help us support over 1,100 Canterbury families, each year. We would love to add you to our team! We offer a supportive environment. Our volunteers are like family, providing a rich and diverse workplace - where we love to have fun!
If this sounds like you, please get in touch.
