The IHC North Canterbury Volunteer Programme is recruiting female volunteers to connect with women who have intellectual disability. The range of interest varies from going to the gym, movies, swimming, shopping and cafes, baking and craft.By getting involved in IHC’s One to One Friendship Programme you will make a significant difference in a person's life. This role is unique, has choice and flexibility. Volunteers spend time doing what they enjoy and are matched with a person who enjoys doing similar things. Training and support will be provided.
You need to be patient and versatile with good communication skills.
We ask that volunteers are able to commit to connecting once a week with days and times being flexible.
