Key Responsibilities:
Resource Development:
Collaborate with the program team to identify gaps in mental health resources and develop innovative solutions.
Design and create educational materials, including guides, handouts, worksheets, and multimedia content, that address mental health topics and promote mental well-being.
Conduct research and stay updated on current mental health trends, best practices, and evidence-based interventions.
Ensure all resources are accurate, culturally sensitive, and accessible to diverse populations.
Content Creation:
Write engaging and informative content that effectively communicates mental health concepts and strategies.
Adapt complex mental health information into clear, concise, and user-friendly formats.
Develop content that is age-appropriate and tailored to specific target audiences.
Collaborate with graphic designers and multimedia specialists to enhance resource visual appeal and accessibility.
Curriculum Development:
Design and develop comprehensive mental health curricula for different age groups and settings.
Create lesson plans, activities, and assessments that align with educational standards and promote social-emotional learning.
Incorporate interactive and engaging teaching methodologies to enhance participant understanding and retention.
Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement:
Collaborate with mental health professionals, educators, and community organisations to gather input and ensure resources meet their needs.
Seek feedback from end-users and incorporate their perspectives into resource refinement.
Participate in interdisciplinary teams to develop integrated approaches to mental health education and support.
Quality Assurance and Evaluation:
Review and edit resources for clarity, accuracy, and consistency.
Conduct regular evaluations to assess the effectiveness and impact of created resources.
Monitor resource usage and gather feedback to inform continuous improvement efforts.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Counselling, Education, or a related field.
Strong background in mental health, counselling, or a related discipline.
Experience in developing educational materials and resources.
Knowledge of mental health concepts, disorders, and evidence-based interventions.
Familiarity with educational frameworks, standards, and social-emotional learning approaches.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to translate complex concepts into clear, accessible language.
Creative thinking and ability to develop engaging and visually appealing materials.
Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Knowledge of diverse populations and cultural considerations in mental health and education.
