The WordPress Developer/ Administrator will support the organisation's digital presence and contribute to the development of online resources related to mental health therapy for individuals who do not qualify for traditional mental health support or resources.
Key Responsibilities:
WordPress Website Management:
Oversee the day-to-day management and maintenance of ACFB/ The ACFB Fund's WordPress websites.
Update and optimise website content, ensuring accuracy, relevance, and accessibility.
Monitor website performance, security, and functionality, addressing any issues promptly.
Implement best practices for SEO to improve the website's visibility and reach.
Front-End Development:
Collaborate with the marketing and communications team to design and develop engaging and user-friendly web pages and templates.
Implement responsive web design principles to ensure a seamless user experience across devices.
Optimise website performance, including page load times and overall responsiveness.
Back-End Development:
Develop and maintain custom WordPress themes and templates as needed.
Develop new features as required.
Troubleshoot and debug issues related to website functionality and performance.
Implement security measures and regular backups to protect the website's data.
Content Management:
Assist in creating and formatting website content, including blog posts, articles, and multimedia resources related to mental health therapy.
Ensure content is properly formatted, optimised for search engines, and aligned with branding guidelines.
Collaborate with the content team to ensure accurate and timely updates to the website.
Training and Support:
Provide training and support to staff members on WordPress usage and content management.
Serve as a resource for staff, addressing questions and providing technical assistance.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field (preferred but not limiting).
Proven experience (at least 2-3 years) as a WordPress Administrator/ Developer.
Strong knowledge of WordPress CMS, including themes, plugins, and customization.
Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP for front-end and back-end development.
Experience with responsive web design and mobile optimization.
Familiarity with SEO best practices and web analytics tools.
Understanding of web security principles and best practices.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
Knowledge of mental health-related issues and resources is a plus.
