Lincoln High School is located on Boundary Road in Lincoln, Selwyn District. We have students at all levels from Year 9-13 including those doing NCEA, who qualify to have special assistance with assessments due to learning difficulty. This assistance takes the form of someone assisting them with their reading and/or writing. We are looking for members of the community who are willing to volunteer their time to provide this assistance. You do not need to have any special knowledge of the school subjects. Good writing and listening skills. Clear speech. Patience and a friendly manner
You would need to be available during the school day (8.45 - 14.45) any day Monday - Friday. The assessments are generally 1-2 hours long and training would be provided. In terms of time involved, that is up to you as to how much you want to be available.
