We have two fantastic drivers who are employed to collect a vast variety of food and groceries from supermarkets and other organisations around the city. They require assistance in order to collect food from each location as well as dropping it off at our warehouse. This role offers the unique privilege of entering the kitchens and store-rooms of supermarkets and observing where a lot of our rescued food comes from.

Requirements:

As this role involves lifting and packing banana boxes of goods, it is physically demanding. All volunteers must also adhere to our Kairos Vehicle Volunteer Guidelines, which include:

  • Representing the Kairos brand with positive words, actions and attitudes.
  • Following the instructions of our skilled and experienced drivers.
  • Adhering to our General Volunteer Code of Conduct and Agreement.

A Police background check is required for this role.

Time commitment:

Current role availability:

Mon-Fri - 7:30am to 2pm
Mon-Fri - 8am to 11am

We use a simple self-rostering system, so you have the freedom to pick shifts that suit your schedule.
