Every day, over a tonne of unwanted food is brought into our warehouse. The majority of this food is perfectly edible and is fit to be repurposed and sent to our recipient groups around Christchurch. Join our dedicated and skilled team of sorters in our warehouse as they sort the food into food packages, ready to be collected by over 60 foodbanks around Christchurch and delivered to people in need.

Requirements:

At Kairos, we require a dedicated and skilled team of volunteers who enjoy what they do and find purpose in serving their community. With guidance and training, volunteers will be able to identify best before/use by dates and distinguish whether food is suitable for redistribution. Volunteers may be required to lift boxes of food and groceries. They must represent the Kairos brand with positive words, actions and attitudes as well as following the instructions of our skilled and experienced coordinators.

A Police background check is required for this role.

Mon-Fri Mornings - (10am to 12:30pm)
Mon-Fri Afternoons (1pm to 3:30pm)

We use a simple self-rostering system, so you have the freedom to pick shifts that suit your schedule.
