We can find tasks which are suitable for people of most ages & abilities. Weeding, pricking out seedlings, saving & sorting seeds Making signs & sorting equipment. Repairs: storage areas, sheds, fences, & watering systems. Marketing assistance (computer &/or design skills) Organising or staffing community outreach & education. For 2 hours work commitment the volunteer can have fresh veges from the garden. Our gardens are in a beautiful seeing in the domain. We offer company and potential new networks and friendships as there is usually someone to talk to while you work or when we "down tools" at 12.30 to eat lunch together. Can also attend our workshops for free. Volunteers receive fresh, organic produce, gardening skills, company, exercise, some outdoor time, fresh air and community participation.
No gardening experience required as initial training can be provided on request.
We expect 2 hours work at a time to suit on either Monday, Wednesday or Friday 10am to 4pm or Saturday 10am to 2pm. These hours could be weekly or fortnightly.
