Shop Volunteers will enrich the experience of visiting The Arts Centre by enhancing its image as a welcoming creative place.
The Arts Centre Shop is being located in the ground floor of the old Engineering buildings used by the Court Theatre prior to 2011 and strenghtened and restored in 2023. Facing Hereford Street with windows reaching high up it is a lovely light space and you will have Artists work studios in the same area around you so never a dull moment as they are busy creating.
A car park on site for your shifts will be arranged if needed. We also have secure bicycle parking.
Training will be as soon as possible as the shop opening is planned for late September. We need 4 people available on a Monday or Sunday in particular. Once a week for 3 hrs, either 10-1 or 1-4.
Email us with a short paragraph about why you are interested in the role, what you are doing currently or a CV if you wish.
Shop Volunteers should be personable, have a positive attitude, know how to make all visitors feel welcome, and feel comfortable chatting to strangers of all ages and backgrounds. They should be confident working unsupervised and be punctual and organised. Also confidence in using point of sale technology is important.
Minimum requirement prefer 1 shift , once a week for 3 hours, either 10-1 or 1-4pm Monday to Sunday. Can be flexible on this. We would love our shop volunteers to make The Arts Centre an enjoyable regular part of their lives so shifts can be once a week or multiple shifts in one week. The choice is yours.
