Christchurch Envirohub is a collaborative organisation in Greater Christchurch, New Zealand, part of Environment Hubs Aotearoa. It aims to connect, support, educate, and inspire environmental and sustainability organisations in the region. The hub operates on core principles that honor Te Tiriti o Waitangi and Māori as mana whenua, emphasizing values like kaitiakitanga and manaakitanga. Through fostering innovation, strengthening networks, connecting groups, and supporting on-the-ground environmental work, Christchurch Envirohub works towards its vision of a capable ecosystem of sustainability organisations. The team, including a blend of educators, advisors, professionals, and passionate individuals, drives the mission of environmental and community wellbeing. They offer various services and engage in activities that encourage community involvement, sustainability education, and environmental restoration.
The ideal candidate will have the following:
Attend regular online and in-person board meetings. 2-4hrs per month time commitment. 12 meetings per year (1st Tuesday of the month 7 to 8.30pm). Availability to attend other relevant organisational events and meetings.
