Toruatanga and Matawhaiti Residence run by the Department of Corrections in Templeton Christchurch is looking for volunteers to support residents in our care in building foundation skills in reading, writing, and basic math. Each residents has their own learning style and level. You will be adaptable and supportive of the student's own goals in their learning journey and supportive environment with resources provided.
Strong knowledge of literacy and numeracy skills, and teaching techniques.
A Ministry of Justice background check is required for this role.
At least twice a week for 1-2 hours or depending on your availability. Between Monday and Friday.
