Aviva is on the lookout for warm-hearted and dependable Volunteer Drivers to help transport tamariki to and from their schools to Aviva offices. This role is crucial in ensuring that our young participants can attend their Group Education Programme, and we need your support to make this happen!
Training: Full training will be provided in November of Term 4, 2024, with the actual role commencing Term 1, 2025.
Position: Volunteer Driver for Tamariki Groups
Location: The Loft, Eastgate Shopping Centre, Christchurch. An Aviva vehicle will be provided for use during transportation.
Hours of Volunteer Work: 1.5 to 2 fixed hours per week during school terms. We require a consistent commitment each week, for a minimum of one term, please.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Volunteer Driver, you'll play a vital role in transporting up to three primary school-aged children between their schools and Aviva offices. Your responsibilities will include:
Driving with Care: Transport children safely and reliably, adhering to Ministry of Transport / Waka Kotahi road rules and Aviva’s processes.
Punctuality: Be dependable and adhere to set timeframes each week.
Caring Attitude: Approach your role with empathy and sensitivity, prioritising the safety and well-being of each child.
Confidentiality: Always maintain confidentiality and respect boundaries.
Requirements:
A full, clean driver’s license and be an experienced safe driver.
A reliable mobile phone and email access.
The ability to work to a set timeframe each week.
Undergo and clear a Police Check process.

Experience:
Previous experience with children aged 5-12 years preferable.

Drop Off: Thursdays 11.15 to 1.00pm
