Dementia Canterbury holds Education and Cognitive Stimulation Groups with people living with Dementia. We are looking for someone who can attend these sessions and help with 'hosting' our Clients. This would include helping with set up and pack down, serving Morning Tea, and helping with anything else that they might need during the session.

This is a lovely role helping people navigate and feel at home in a new environment.

Currently we are looking for helpers for 3 groups:

  • Cognitive Stimulation on Tuesday Mornings

  • Cognitive Stimulation on Wednesday Mornings

  • Education Session on Friday Mornings

Requirements:

4-6 hours of Training (both Online and In-person)
Police Vetting
Reference checks

A Police background check is required for this role.

Time commitment:

2-3 hours per week or fortnight
