Therapy Pets is a voluntary programme that enhances the lives of others, and we need your help! We are looking for a passionate and driven individual to become a Therapy Pet Team Leader for our North Canterbury team.
You will:
Provide support and mentoring to the team of Therapy Pet Volunteers
Recruit new volunteers, match volunteers and their pets with suitable facilities
Liaise with facilities visited by volunteers
Monthly reporting and liaising with local St John
Organising recognition events and team connects
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Excellent communication skills, an empathetic personality, and a genuine interest in the well-being of others
Previous team management experience
Administration experience
Love of animals (experience working with animals is a plus)
Competent computer skills
Over 18 years of age
Clean criminal record
This role is flexible and can work around your availability, ideally you will be able to commit at least 2-3 hours per week.
