Volunteer Meals on Wheels Drivers- Hillmorton & South East Christchurch

We are looking for friendly volunteers to deliver meals from our Hillmorten pick up point to surrounding suburbs including Sydenham, Spreydon, Halswell, Huntsbury, Cashmere, Somerfield, St Martins and Hoon Hay. Shifts start and end at the lincoln Road pick up point, The pickup time is 11a.m. Mon - Fri. We do offer a contribution towards petrol. If you are available once a week, fortnight, month or even as an on-call driver, we would love to hear from you.

Requirements:

You’ll need to be a friendly person who has their own car and a full driver licence. Have an ability to read English. We’ll train you in how to carry out the role and you’ll be supported by Red Cross volunteers or staff members.

A Police background check is required for this role.

Time commitment:

We are urgently looking for friendly volunteer drivers to deliver meals in Hillmorton and surrounding neighbourhoods in Christchurch. Shifts start and end at the meal pick up point on Lincoln Road. Meal pick up time is 11am Monday to Friday. We need 13 volunteers each weekday.
