Our social group is held Monday evenings 6.30 to 8pm in various locations. We are looking for people with experience with autistic people or a willingness to learn.
Preferable lived experience or study that is relevant to the volunteer role.
Must be able to transport themselves to and from locations.
This is a fun role with a group of great people who meet together and enjoy activities together.
You will be with another facilitator, so you won't be alone. We would like to build up a good supportive team as the group has got bigger.
We will provide ongoing support and training to assist you with the role.
Police check.
Able to attend short sessions on how to support autistic people.
We are looking for long term volunteers only, who can commit to at least a year.
Please send an up-to-date CV and cover letter stating why you would like to volunteer.
Compassion and patience.
Casual for a few events' that will be day trips on Weekends or the occasional night.
There will also be some training required around how to support an autistic person.
We have flexibility on when those hours can be done in the first month.
